"Living Room"
Process shot of a "wallpaper" border, stenciled with pneumatic sprays and embellished with brushwork.
While waiting for sprayed stencil passes to dry, details were brushed in, and then a final glaze was applied to give the impression of aging.
Designer's elevation of the vaulted ceiling, which was then reversed and repeated for symmetrical image.
The fabric portion of the vaulted ceiling, with velcro attached to the lower portion made of hard scenery.
"Mouse Battle"
The castle legs featured in the battle scene between the Nutcracker and the Mouse King, painted primarily by the charge and myself.
"Christmas Tree"
50' x 45' drop painted on green velour
My main task was to paint the sky in the background, along with the occasional ornament.
"Snow Queen Sleigh" - Carver
Once carved, we covered all of the foam's exposed surfaces with a layer of epoxy.
After the epoxy came Featherfill (the gray), then Bondo for filling and lightweight molding compound for adding dimension.
A closeup of the detail on the back of the sleigh.
The finished sleigh, waiting to be loaded onto the truck after many layers of bondo, sanding, and a final coat of silver.
"Fairy Palace"
"Rocking Horse"
This fun little project was handled by myself alone.
"Act I Valence"
Most of my contribution was in the tromp l'oeil drape (pink parts) of this piece.
"Carriage and Horses"
I mostly helped with layout, color mixing, and other support roles, I did get to a little bit of painting on each of these four identical horses.
